Careers in Dairy Science

The Dairy Science department assists students with summer internship placement as well as for permanent job opportunities. The department maintains active contacts with the dairy industry and invites companies to the department to conduct onsite interviews with students. In 2007 15 interview sessions were conducted for Dairy Science students by companies that visited the department. These inteerviews resulted in many job offers. The Dairy Science major maintains 100% placement with excellent starting salaries. Current starting salaries are over $40,000 per year for students with a B.S. degree. The Dairy Science major offers numerous exciting job opportunities. A sampling of careers of alumni shows the wide range of career opportunities available in dairy science.
