South Dakota Dairy Princess

Stephanie Nussbaum, a Dairy Production freshman, was named the South Dakota Dairy Princess for 2008 at the Central Plains Dairy Expo on 19th March. Stephanie has been very active in FFA, Holstein & Jersey Association, Girl Scouts, varsity cheerleader, drum line, teachers aid at Washington Pavilion, band, Three-Act Play and National Honor Society. She was the recipient of Garretson City Citizenship Award, Governor’s Award, National FFA gold winner in Dairy Handler Contest, State Poultry Proficiency Award and FFA Star District Farmer. As the South Dakota Dairy Princess Stephanie will promote the dairy industry of the state throughout the year. She takes over this role from Katie Norling, a Dairy Manufacturing major, who was Dairy Princess in 2007.
