Dairy Camp and Dairy Day

Plans are underway for the 2007 SDSU Dairy Camp. The Camp hosted by the Dairy Club, will be an outstanding opportunity for k-12 students to participate in dairy activities at the SDSU Dairy Science department and will be held from 20-22 June.Registration information; Reports of previous Dairy Camps

On 22 June, the Dairy Camp will conclude with a lunch at the Dairy Research and Training Facilility. This will be followed by an open-house:

The event shows the department’s appreciation for contributions to SDSU’s Heifers for State campaign and for the ongoing support of the South Dakota Dairy Industry.

Area dairy producers and friends of dairy science are invited to tour the facility and view the recent remodeling of the SDSU freestall barn. SDSU Department of Dairy Science undergraduate students will be available to share their experiences with the dairy science program. Graduate students and Department of Dairy Science faculty and staff will be available to discuss recent research in dairy science, including studies with feeding corn distillers grains and other byproduct feeds. SDSU ice cream will be served.

The Dairy Research and Training Facility is located one and one-half miles north of the U.S. Highway 14 Bypass on Medary Avenue.
