Interim Farm Manager

Peter Linke has been appointed as interim manager at the Dairy Training and Research Facility to temporarily fill the vacancy left by the departure of Darrel Rennich. Pete received his B.S. degree in Dairy Production at SDSU in 2004. As an undergraduate student Pete was involved in nutrition research and worked part-tme at the DRTF. His interest in research led him to pursue a M.S. degree in Dairy Production under the direction of Dr. Arnold Hippen. In addition, since 2005 Pete has also been employed as an Ag Foreman with responsibilities in Transition/Fresh and Sick Cows/Calf Care. In the interim position Pete will be responsible for the operations of the farm and will direct student employees, full-time employees and coordinate teaching and research activities at the farm. He will also teach DS 212, Dairy Cattle Evaluation in the spring semester. The search for a permanent manager will commence in the near future.
