New Faculty Member Joins Department

Dr. Marie Yeung began her appointment as Assistant Professor in Dairy Science on 1st July 2005. She holds a Ph.D in Food Science from Cornell University, M.S. in Dairy Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a B.Sc. in Biology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining South Dakota State University Dr. Yeung was a Post Doctoral researcher in the department of Microbiology and Immunology in the college of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell. Dr. Yeung's expertise is in Dairy Microbiology, food safety and food borne pathogens. She will teach Dairy Microbiology, Food Microbiology, part of Dairy Product Processing II and Lab Techniques in Dairy Science.
