The Dairy Science Department at South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD is offering a Postdoctoral Research Associate position beginning 2nd Jan 2009 for a one year period. Responsibilities include designing and conducting research in the area of biofilms. The successful candidate must have documented experience in the area of bacterial biofilms in dairy/food processing environments, with emphasis on microbiological and molecular biology analytical aspects. Experience with fluorescent microscopy and confocal microscopy will be a plus. A Ph.D. degree in dairy/food microbiology or a closely related field is required.
