SDSU Cattle at the South Dakota State Fair
Dairy cattle from SDSU
were well represented at the South Dakota State Fair in Huron during 29th
August to 1st September. SDSU participants included dairy farm personnel;
Kevin
Gross, Pete Linke, and Matt Laubach, and students Rachel Patrick, Nathan
Johnson, Katie Crocker, Kent Bucholz, Sami
Wahls,
Kent Erickson,
Keith
Christen, Ty Halverson,
and Denise Apland. These individuals prepared cattle and showed them at the
Fair. Results were as follows:
Holstein:
Honorable mention Junior Champion
2nd Senior 2 year old
3rd Senior 3 year old
Brown Swiss:
Junior and Reserve Junior Champion
Intermediate and Reserve Intermediate Champion
Reserve Senior Champion
Reserve Grand Champion
Best Udder of Show
